Merry Christmas!…

From my family to yours, have a merry, and safe Christmas.

Luke 2:9-14

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

It’s a bold claim, but I’m going to make it: If you watch this video and don’t get emotional, you should check your pulse. You don’t have to cry, but something should stir inside you.

You’re about to meet Anthony Starego from New Jersey. He’s 18, but functions at the level of a 10-year-old. He’s the last person you might expect to become a football hero. But that’s exactly what happened this fall.

After watching a Rutgers football game in 2006 that ended in a game-winning field goal, his mom told ESPN Anthony turned to his dad and said he wanted to be a kicker.

“I’m like, ‘okay buddy. You do know that you don’t like contact? Um, well, okay,’” his dad, Ray, explained. No matter. Anthony set out and did it. The repetition of the kicking position perfectly suited to the needs of the way he was made.

“45. Ask my dad. I kick 45 in practice. And maybe some from 50,” he told the network when asked about how far he can kick.

And that’s not an exaggeration. Anthony is so good he became his high school’s varsity kicker. And in late October, he became a legend. He kicked a game-winning field goal to upset state powerhouse Toms River North.

“I’m thinking, ‘this is it. This is his moment. The moment that every kid, much less my kid, my kid who probably shouldn’t even be on a football field, now has the chance to have a moment that he’ll remember for the rest of his life,’” his dad said about the moment.

And boy was it memorable.

“That kick is a kick of hope. We did it. Buddy, we did it. We did the impossible.”

Cue the emotion. Watch the incredible story — with video of the game-winner — below:

‘Tis the season of giving, and no time was that more apparent than on a street corner in New York City earlier this month.
That’s when a tourist witnessed an NYPD officer giving a homeless man without shoes — and with blistered feed — a pair of winter boots. The photo taken of the scene, unbeknown to the officer at the time, has since gone viral.

The cellphone photo of Officer Lawrence DePrimo, snapped by Jennifer Foster of Florence, Ariz., on Nov. 14, has been made it onto news sites and blogs around the world. The photo posted on the NYPD’s official Facebook page has been liked more than 315,000 times and shared more than 74,000 times. According to the New York Times, as of Wednesday evening it had been viewed by more than 1.6 million people.
Here’s how Foster, who is the communications director for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona, set the scene, according to the NYPD’s post:
“Right when I was about to approach, one of your officers came up behind him. The officer said, ‘I have these size 12 boots for you, they are all-weather. Let’s put them on and take care of you.’ The officer squatted down on the ground and proceeded to put socks and the new boots on this man. The officer expected NOTHING in return and did not know I was watching. I have been in law enforcement for 17 years. I was never so impressed in my life. I did not get the officer’s name. It is important, I think, for all of us to remember the real reason we are in this line of work. The reminder this officer gave to our profession in his presentation of human kindness has not been lost on myself or any of the Arizona law enforcement officials with whom this story has been shared.”

The NYPD stated in its post that the photo had been cropped to better show the scene closer up, given that the original was taken at a further distance.
Watch this report about the photograph:

The comments on the photo, approaching the 20,000 mark, reflect positive sentiments. Here’s a snapshot of a few of them.

The Times reported the 25-year-old officer saying he could see blisters on the man’s feet. DePrimo recalled how he himself was wearing two pairs of socks and still felt cold. He said he started speaking with the homeless man and found out his shoe size. Heading into the Sketchers store, DePrimo purchased the new shoes.
But it wasn’t just DePrimo who felt compelled to help out. The Times reported Sketchers’ store manager Jose Cano gave the officer an employee discount for the originally $100 boots.
DePrimo’s action is not something he’s likely to forget anytime soon — nor does he want to. According to the Times, the officer has kept the receipt for the shoes in his pocket ever since. It reminds him “that sometimes people have it worse.”

New Hamas Music Video: “Killing Jews Is Worship That Draws Us Close To Allah”…

Imagine the left’s outrage if there was a “killing Muslims brings us closer to Jesus” video.

Music video by Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades:

“Bless [Hamas'] Al-Qassam men, guardians of Palestine
Oh pride of Salah Shahada, oh wisdom of Immad [Aqel] (Hamas leaders killed by Israel)
[Oh] the explosives of [Yahya] Ayyash, (Hamas bomb maker killed by Israel), Martyrdom,
[oh] lovers of the trigger:
Killing the occupiers is worship that Allah made into law.
(Arabic text: “Killing Jews is worship that draws us close to Allah”)
Arise, oh determined men.
The color of [the Martyr's] blood protects the land.
Oh masked one wearing a keffiyeh (Arab head scarf), terrifying the Jews…call out in Zionism’s face: ‘Muhammad’s army has begun to return.’”

Norway: Leader Of Youth Movement Tied To Ruling Labor Party Wishes Hitler Would Come Back And Gas More Jews…

Shockingly, he’s also a Muslim.

(JTA) — Aspiring Norwegian politician Khalid Haji Ahmed said he was only joking when he wished “best of luck eight times over” to activists who wrote on Facebook that they wished Adolf Hitler could kill more Jews.

Screen shots made by Hamar Arbeiderblad, a local newspaper, show Ahmed responding on Facebook to a post that read “Damn Jew whores, wish Hitler could come back and shower you some more.”

The Facebook conversation took place last week between members of the Workers’ Youth League, Norway’s largest youth movement, which is affiliated with the country’s ruling Labor Party.

Ahmed, the youth movement’s regional secretary in southeast Norway, is quoted as telling the news site Nettavisen that his comment was “ironic.”

Ahmed, whose family came to Norway from Yemen, is quoted as telling the New York Times last year that he decided to join the youth movement and become politically active to “fight racism” after his brother, also a member of the youth movement, was killed in 2011 by Anders Behring Breivik on the island of Utoya.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream---and not make dreams your master;
If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!

Libyan Salafists Capture 12 Gay Men, Plan To Mutilate And Execute Them…

American “progressives” express their outrage in 3… 2… yeah, right.

Via Libyan Herald:

Extremists say they will execute a dozen men they allege are homosexuals, whom they abducted last Thursday at a private party in Tripoli’s Ain Zara district.

A body calling itself the ‘Private Deterrent Force’, which is believed to be part of the extremist Nawasi militia group, have posted images of the men on their Facebook page. One picture (above) shows them, heads covered, standing with their hands against a wall.

At the time of writing, the picture had received 315 ‘likes’ and had received comments such as “flog them hard”, “lets see the bullets”, and “ride them like camels”.

Accompanying text describes the men as “the third sex” and says that they are to be mutilated and executed.
